Costa Blanca Tourism Guide - Benidorm Poniente

Quieter than busy Playa Levante to the east, Benidorm's Playa Poniente area west of the old town is a popular Benidorm base with families. For full listings of Benidorm bars, restaurants, watersports providers and more check the Benidorm Official Tourist Guide website right.

Playa Poniente beach is slightly longer than Levante, with the same Blue flag golden sands. It's a bit wider too and quieter especially out of season and to the far western edge of the beach. There's no shortage of beach bars, and like Levante, Playa Poniente is backed on by a superb Paseo Maritimo. A choice of Benidorm hotels and apartments are up from Playa Poniente, including the famous Hotel Bali - the tallest opened in May 2002 accompanied by Elton John. Hotel Bali is the tallest hotel in Europe, as well as Spain's highest building!

Benidorm Poniente, Playa de Poniente, Family Holidays Benidorm

Benidorm's west beach area Playa de Poniente offers more space on its blue flag golden sands. Less crowded and slightly quieter than Playa Levante, although there's plenty of lively nightlife bars and restaurants along Poniente's Paseo, it's a popular choice with families.

Along Poniente Benidorm beach there's a scattering of kids slides, good wooden path access to the level beach, and a choice of beach bars, cafes and restaurants lining the beach. Push up from the beach around the Hotel Bali area (you can't miss its pointed peak), there's a huge choice of Benidorm hotels, more restaurants, shops, supermarkets and excellent all round resort facilities.

Sunbeds, parasols and pedaloes are all in good supply here. Medical centres, life guard service and beach bars are on-site.

Aqualandia Benidorm Waterpark Costa Blanca
